“Our stay at the Lelani Beach Club vacation home was nothing short of spectacular! It is, without a doubt, the best vacation rental we have ever experienced as annual visitors to the Orlando / Kissimmee / Davenport area.

Right from our very first interaction, the owners were exceptionally responsive and had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They set a high standard for vacation home owners.

The house was impeccably clean and incredibly spacious, providing more than ample room for our entire family to relax and enjoy. The décor and amenities within the home were simply amazing – the thought put into the details, both big and small, was very impressive and appreciated. The biggest challenge was picking which room to sleep in as they were all impressively unique. The beds were so comfortable that we slept like babies every night. I especially appreciated the double washers and dryers along with the air purifier (we’ve ordered the same one for our home as we were so impressed with it). Having a restroom directly off the lanai was much appreciated as well, such a convenient feature! We all had a blast with the fun activities and features available, and the amazing pool and lanai were perfect for both relaxation and play.

The Windsor Island community felt very safe, which gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. We had so much fun with the pool, water slides, lazy river, and mini golf – there was never a dull moment!

Why do Pools in Florida Have Enclosures or Screens?

All the homes at Windsor Island, similar resorts, and many private home in Florida have enclosures around their private pools. As this isn’t necessarily common in other areas, guests often ask the question “Why?”

First off, they are called “pool enclosures”…not “nets” or “cages”. They are large aluminum structures with screens that completely surround the pool.

There are many advantages to having a pool enclosure:

Privacy – Opaque vinyl screens called “Florida glass” can be added so that neighbors don’t have direct view into the pool area.
Enhanced Safety – The surrounding structure prevents youngsters from accidentally entering the pool area from the outside like a fence.
Pest Control – No mosquitos, flies, bugs, critters, and wildlife
UV Protection – Enclosures filter the sunlight to have protect you from UV rays that can damage or burn your skin. Think of it as a partial sunscreen.
Keeping Clean – The enclosure helps keep out dirt, leaves, and other debris from entering the pool water.
Security – Enclosures can assist in keeping out intruders.

We’ve found personally after experiencing a private pool with an enclosure that we like it a lot. It provides a sense of privacy and safety that feels good when you are at the home. Lelani Beach Club is Solar Powered!

We’ve installed solar panels at Lelani Beach Club! So the house is run by renewable energy…and there is a lot of sun in Florida! The full solar array is barely visible except for from the sky but you can see 6 of the panels from the front of the home.

As a guest you won’t even know the difference by your experience in the home. But you should know that electricity from the solar panels kicks in whenever possible to power the air conditioning, oven, fridge, pool heater, lights, etc. You get the positive feeling that the home is doing everything possible to utilize clean energy. The environmental impact is a net export of electricity with a significant CO2 reduction. Enjoy your cool air inside the home with less guilt.
