Windsor Island Resort is one of Central Florida’s most sought-after vacation destinations—and with that popularity comes a few growing pains. You may have seen a review mentioning delays at the front gate during peak arrival times. As a committed and involved vacation homeowner at Windsor Island, I want to give you the full picture—and let you know how we’re actively working to make every guest experience smooth and enjoyable.

We’re aware that traffic during high-demand times (particularly Friday or Saturday evenings and major holidays) has occasionally led to longer wait times at the entrance. That’s why the Homeowners Association and resort leadership have already taken significant steps to improve the arrival experience, including:

• Hiring a new, more responsive security company
• Increasing gate staffing during peak hours
• Opening additional lanes for quicker guest processing
• Launching a second entrance to help ease congestion

Remember these tips for entering the resort:

• Verify that the names of all guests in your vehicle over the age of 18 have been entered into the security system by your host.
• Know the address of your home (For Lelani Beach Club this is 2206 Lelani Circle)
• If this is your first time coming to the resort, stay in the left lane.
• Have your IDs ready to show the guard.
• Once you’re checked in go to the clubhouse and get your parking pass.
• After that you’ll enjoy faster entry through a dedicated expedited lane on the right for the remainder of your stay.

At Lelani Beach Club, we go above and beyond to support our guests. Whenever possible, we offer early check-in options to help you avoid those busy evening windows altogether. Just let us know your estimated arrival time in advance—we may be able to get you into the resort as early as mid-morning or noon, giving you a head start on your vacation.

If your visit is still a few weeks away, rest assured that improvements are ongoing. Windsor Island continues to enhance its guest experience—including the addition of brand-new pickleball courts!

New pool lockers installed near the kids’ splash area at Windsor Island Resort provide a secure and convenient way to store your belongings while you enjoy lounging, pools, hot tub, and lazy river. This is a stress free way to keep your personal items safe. Here’s how it works:

1. At the computer screen, select “Rent Locker” and choose Small or Large.
2. Choose your credit card or other payment option.
3. Choose a 6 digit code and color.
4. Once confirmed, the locker will open and is ready for use.
5. Select “Reopen Locker” the enter your code and color. The locker is open again.

Keeping Valuables Safe at the Pool and Beach

Most guests have a vehicle (or several) while at Lelani Beach Club vacation home. Rental SUVs and Vans are popular choices as they make it easy to get into the theme parks and lower parking costs with fewer vehicles needing to pay. A great way to set up a rental is through Costco Travel. They provide several options at a discount with some extra benefits.

However, situations will arise where you need a ride to or from the Orlando MCO airport and a vehicle is not available. Maybe your friends or family are coming into the resort from multiple flights or schedules make it challenging.

While Windsor Island does not have a resort shuttle, there are several options for getting to and from the airport without a car. Ride sharing companies like Uber or Lyft are popular and convenient. Both services will allow you to schedule a ride 30-60 days in advance when you know your flight number and time of arrival or departure.

To do so, sign up to the Lyft or Uber app on your smartphone in advance. That will expedite making a reservation when you need one. You can even enter and save your credit card information so you are not scrambling last minute for them while traveling.
